At Montpelier, the home of James Madison, you will find the President and his wife receiving visitors almost every weekend now through September 25. Visit their Virginia estate on Saturday from 11:00am until 5:00pm or on Sunday from noon until 5:00pm. Chances are you will find either “James” or “Dolley” in the mansion’s south wing. On Father’s Day, June 19th, join other runners for the Charlottesville Men’s Four Miler. This race, first run in 2004, is the only men-only foot race in the area. The race was designed to promote men’s fitness and to encourage men to take a proactive role in the management of their health. On Wednesday, June 15th, the Met HD Summer Encore will perform Madame Butterfly at the Paramount Theater in Downtown Charlottesville. The performance begins at 6:30pm.
