The Ivy Creek Natural Area is a 215-acre park with over six miles of walking trails and much natural vegetation.  Located off Earlysville Road the Ivy Creek Natural Area is about 20 minutes from Cedar Spring Inn.  On the first Saturday of every month the Monticello Bird Club offers a bird walk at Ivy Creek Natural Area at 7:30am.  The Bird Club also offers these upcoming events:

The Shenandoah National Park celebrates it’s 75th year this summer.  Plan now for your next hike by making it a real vacation.  Cedar Spring Inn is just 20 minutes from an entrance to the park where you can access the Big Meadows area/Byrd Visitor Center and take advantage of the programs scheduled for the summer.   Visit Rapidan Camp, President Hoover’s summer retreat; learn about the park bears and birds of prey; take the Appalachian Trail Hike, the Meadow Walk, the Hawksbill Mountain Hike or the Discovery Walk.

After all this, return to the Inn, enjoy the pool and hot tub or take a steam or sauna.
