On Tuesday, December 13th, plan to attend the book launch of “Jefferson’s Granddaughter in Victoria’s England”, the travel diary of Ellen Waylis Coolidge, 1838-1839.  At 4:00pm there will be a talk by Ann Lucas Birle, co-editor of the book and Monticello Research Historian, followed by a book signing at 5:00pm.  This event is free but space is limited, so if you wish to attend please email mscottfleming@monticello.org.  What a great holiday gift for the Jefferson follower or someone who wants to understand on a more personal level life in the early 1800’s.
