Dolley Madison was a woman of unique style, and a life story that begins in Philadelphia as a young Quaker Woman. A new PBS series “American Experience: TV’s Most-Watched History” explores the life of Dolley Madison who ultimately became the beloved wife of James Madison, the president who was a key author of the U.S. Constitution. Now James Madison’s home, Montpelier, will debut a new exhibit on Dolley Madison’s life through fashion, using the gowns created for this PBS series. The exhibit debuts June 15th.
