Monticello in April

There’s lots going on at Monticello during the month of April.  Both Garden Tours and Plantation Tours begin daily on April 1st.   The gardens just begin to bloom in April; you can find a list of flowers currently in bloom on the property by going to www.monticello.org/gardens/inbloom/index.html.

There are a number of special presentations designed around what’s happening in the Monticello Gardens.  “Pruning and Propagating Historic Roses” will be presented on April 3rd at 9:30am.  “Spring Wildflower Walk will be held on April 10, 17 and 24 beginning at 9:00am.  And as part of Historic Virginia Garden Week which begins Aplril 17th, “Thomas Jefferson, Gardener” (an illustrated lecture) will be presented on April 20th at 9:00am.  For additional information and locations of these presentations please visit www.monticello.org.

Don’t forget Thomas Jefferson’s Birthday on April 13th!
