There’s lots going on at Monticello during the month of April. Both Garden Tours and Plantation Tours begin daily on April 1st. The gardens just begin to bloom in April; you can find a list of flowers currently in bloom on the property by going to www.monticello.org/gardens/inbloom/index.html.
There are a number of special presentations designed around what’s happening in the Monticello Gardens. “Pruning and Propagating Historic Roses” will be presented on April 3rd at 9:30am. “Spring Wildflower Walk will be held on April 10, 17 and 24 beginning at 9:00am. And as part of Historic Virginia Garden Week which begins Aplril 17th, “Thomas Jefferson, Gardener” (an illustrated lecture) will be presented on April 20th at 9:00am.
